Black and Yellow Maternity Wear AKA I'm A Bubble Bee

I've talked about it before, but I have been ALL about being super comfy while pregnant because, let's be honest, you don't always feel comfortable in your pregnant body. So why make it worse by wearing something that isn't wonderfully comfy?! This dress is one of just a handful of actual maternity clothing pieces I bought and it's definitely something I am planning on wearing once that big bump of my is gone. It's basically a really soft t-shirt dress and I love it!

I wore this outfit to Easter Brunch and it was quite the hit, and it also let me enjoy more delicious food than one human (even a pregnant one) should eat in one sitting. Seriously, if I was just wearing pants, even my maternity ones, I think I would have needed to take them off to help with my super full stomach, haha. I swear, it doesn't matter how many times we do a holiday brunch with our family and friends I never fully remember how many different courses of food there are. I totally over eat on the first one and then somehow find "room" for the later ones.

I know I keep saying that I need to color my hair again in basically every single post, but I SERIOUSLY NEED to color like ASAP. I'm going to do it this week for reals this time! Please don't hold me to that because let's be honest here it might not actually happen haha!

And once again for good measure a ridiculous photo of me pointing out my belly, because why not right, haha. This belly of mine is definitely getting big. I am constantly hitting things with it like walls, car doors, and even people. It's all kind of pathetic, you would think that at this point in the game (I am 9 months pregnant now) I would be able to have a better sense of how big my own belly is. I guess not.

P.S. And on a total side note I'm just going to complain a little bit about Instagram. Even though they are all like "Don't worry guys we aren't changing anything yet" my feed has totally changed and it blows hard. I currently now see photos I've already liked from 9 hours ago before new ones, and then photos I've already seen are mixed in with new ones, making it super hard to tell when I have actually seen all the new photos. Total first world problem I know, but it's annoying. I follow the people I follow because I like to see their photos when they post them, I don't like having to hunt to make sure I've seen everyone. Le boo. Anyone else have their feed change already?

Friday Fancies

This weekend Will and I will be attending an 8+ hour birthing class (that is soooo long). We are both kind of hoping to meet some other cool couples there to possibly become friends with. Learning more about birthing this baby would be cool too, of course, haha. Other than that I am really hoping to finish fixing up the dresser we are using in the nursery and get that bad boy all done. What are you all up to this weekend?

Woodland Themed Baby Shower

Woodland Themed Baby Shower - littleladylittlecity.com
A couple weekends ago I got to enjoy an amazing baby shower that my friends Lex and Megan put together for me. I absolutely love the way the whole thing came together, it was a wonderful surprise being that I was left out of the loop on everything up until the day of pretty much, hehe. Megan was even kind enough to take photos of the shower for me.

The theme of the shower was woodland creatures, so there were lots of beautiful greens and browns, foxes, deer, and absolutely adorable mice! It actually ended up working with my dad's house perfectly.

One of my favorite elements were the wood blocks they put together for people to decorate! Seriously, when I saw the coloring station my heart just melted. The blocks are going to be just so special because they were made by all the people we love.

Not only did Megan take pictures of the shower itself, she set up a killer photobooth outside for everyone! I'm glad it was such a huge hit, who doesn't love a good old photo booth, and who doesn't love having photos of all their friends.

I don't think I could have asked a better shower or group of people to help celebrate our upcoming bitty baby. I can't thank both Lex and Megan enough for putting it all together for me, they are absolutely incredible friends.

Holy 3rd Trimester Batman!

8 Months Pregnant Style - littleladylittlecity.com
I can hardly believe that I am already 8 months pregnant! Where the heck did the time go? Seriously, it felt like only a couple weeks ago I was in my first trimester. I guess that just means this little guy is going to get here sooner than it appears, haha. Good thing we have things almost ready for his arrival. I'm hoping to get the old dresser we are using in the nursery a nice new coat of paint tomorrow so I can start using it instead of having all of bitty baby's clothes sitting in the crib.

When it comes to my outfits I have definitely been all about just being super comfy, because honestly who the heck am I trying to impress, haha. This outfit has definitely been in heavy rotation over the last couple of weeks, it's been perfect for our warmer days and cooler nights. I also love this outfit as it kind of hides my belly, which can be nice because I don't think I really understood how many people just want to touch your belly all the time! Don't get me wrong, family and friends can feel free to touch my belly all you want, but people I hardly know and strangers: ummmm, no thank you!

Oh lordy my hair is in such desperate need of a recoloring, hopefully I can actually get that done sometime this week. Throughout the past week or so I've just been so darn exhausted that the idea of having dye in my hair for five plus hours has not appealed to me in the slightest. Mainly because it would hinder my midday naps that I've started. I seriously cannot keep my eyes open after about 2 PM. It's pretty darn sad, but I keep reminding myself I am growing a human being in my stomach. So, you know, haha.

And, just because, here is another obligatory belly shot. You really can't tell just how big my stomach is in the other photos, haha. Hopefully the complete and utter goofiness of these progress shots will make them a little more fun.
