7 Perfect Superbowl Foods

7 Perfect Superbowl Foods - littleladylittlecity.com
While I am not the biggest fan of football, and will probably be watching the Superbowl this Sunday more for the commercials than the actual game play, I am all about Superbowl foods! I thought I would share seven recipes that are sure to have you and your guests' mouths watering before kick off. First up is this simple crockpot four bean stew! Just throw all the ingredients in a crockpot and go about your day. It can easily be made the night before.

This crispy tofu fritters look both filling and yummy, oh especially with some guacamole on top!

Individual 7 layer bean dip, umm yes please, because honestly you can never go wrong with a 7 layer dip.

Not only is it easy to make a ton of this  baked mac and cheese for your guests but it is delicious too. And you can always dress it up with a little balsamic vinegar for an extra treat.

I don't think any Superbowl party would be complete without a spicy queso dip.

As you have probably already guessed I'm all about dips when it comes to a party so this spicy guacamole is a must.

This chocolate pecan pie is something you could make the day before because honestly it is best nice and cold.

Of course I had to include some brownies on this list because who doesn't love a good warm brownie when you team is winning or losing? Especially if you throw some vanilla bean ice cream on top of that bad boy.

Is there anything special you are making or getting this Superbowl Sunday?

What I'm Watching : Guilty Pleasures

What I'm Watching - Guilty Pleasures - littleladylittlecity.com
Today I thought it would be fun to share some of my most favorite TV guilty pleasures with you guys. Who knows maybe we share some of the same addictions!

Pretty Little Liars - HAHA ok, this is my favorite! I'm obsessed, but not like live tweeting obsessed, more like there-can-be-no-distractions-when-watching obsessed. I make Will keep his snarky comments about the show limited to commercial breaks haha. This show has all of my favorite things when it comes to tv: mysteries, murder, cliffhangers, and fashion (albeit sometimes some really bad fashion). It feels like it was made for me, so I will keep watching it until they finally tell me who 'A' actually is!!

Supernatural - I am such a sucker for a show that involves the…well, the supernatural, (does anyone remember the show Freaky Links from 2000? That show was my jam). I dig its ongoing story arcs because shows that are more than just episodic monster-of-the-week types are more engaging, especially when the story gets as crazy as it has been on Supernatural lately. Supernatural is getting pretty meta, in one episode they end up in another dimension where Supernatural is just a tv show and they have to pretend to be the actors playing themselves in the show. Mind. Blown. As an added bonus, the episode sound tracks are amazing.

NCIS - Ok this one totally makes me sound like such an old granny, but I love this show. Anytime it's on TV, I'm watching, and it's seems to be on tv all the time. I swear every holiday there's a channel or two doing a 3 day marathon of the show haha. I started watching it at the gym and just got hooked, but I can't really explain why, I just got sucked in.

There you have it, several of my most guilty pleasure shows. What are some of your favorite guilty pleasure shows to watch? Are any of these yours?

Who You Gonna Call?

The other day my amazing photographer friend Megan asked if I wanted to be her model as she tried out some new lighting techniques. Of course, I couldn't say no. We headed on downtown for the shoot and I must say I love how these pictures came out. They are just a lot more dramatic feeling which I am really digging.

As I mentioned in my last daily style post I have been really all about comfy clothes lately, especially because we haven't been going out into the real world recently. We've just been spending our time either in front of the computer working, or over at the house working remodeling, and neither one requires anything really fancy. Also, this sweater is the epitome of comfy. Of course it doesn't hurt that it's a freakin Ghostbusters sweater! As a kid I wanted some kind of Ghostbusters related apparel to wear but never got anything, so the second I saw this sweater I knew it had to be mine!

And just for good measure here are some some silly photos too because I honestly can't get through a photo shoot without goofing off at least one or twice haha.

Work has been quieter this week so I think today we are going to take it easy, maybe go to IKEA and wander around a little bit and hopefully start to get inspired with how to decorate our little home.  I could seriously spend all day just walking around looking at everything, especially their fully assembled little rooms. The people who come up with the designs of  those rooms have such an amazing eye, I only wish I had that ability. Haha.

Hope you all are having a lovely Wednesday.

Getting To Know You Err Me

Getting To Know You (Err Me) - littleladylittlecity.com
1. I totally forget that I currently have lavender hair and get very confused at the disapproving glares from the fancy elderly women that live around my dad's fancy neighborhood. Sometimes I wonder if those ladies realize their faces are contorting in such an ugly way. Haha.

2. Wigs loves when you follower her around the house, so for about 20 minutes a day I follower her while Sylvester follows me. We are a little kitty train that just goes around and around the house. I guess that was more of a fact about Wigs than me, but oh well you guys want to know all of my cats quirks right? Haha.

3. My new snack obsession is Snapea Crisps. They claim to be healthy but I am pretty sure they totally aren't. I, however, don't care. I LOVE them! Currently our local Costco is selling huge bags of them. ACK!! I will eat all the calories.

4. Any time I see a cat in our neighborhood I have to go try and pet it. I've currently made friends with two out of the five cats that I've seen hanging out in the neighborhood, including this lovely 20+ pounder. I'm seriously a crazy cat lady and I don't care who knows. I just love all the cats.

5. My hair is currently long enough for tiny braids and I couldn't be more happy about it. The way they stick out reminds me of Pippi Longstocking.

6. I have a real problem keeping my desk clean and organized. I have every intention of making it tidy, but stuff just piles up haha. I'm really hoping this year once we get into our little place out here in Arizona that I can get our office just the way I want it so everything can have a perfect place, instead of just in a pile on my desk. IKEA HERE I COME (once we move in haha).

7. Every night I sit on the couch Sylvester patiently waits for me to put a blanket over my legs then he jumps on, stretches out as far as he can, and falls asleep. It's kind of my favorite. I couldn't just share a fun fact about Wigs and not about Sylvester.

Feel free to share a random fact or two about yourself in the comments. I love learning more about you all!

Getting To Know You (Err Me) is a little series that I do from time to time on my blog as a way to share some random and usually silly things about myself you might otherwise never know.

Put A Flower Crown On It

Flower Crown - littleladylittlecity.com
Well my goodness it's been a little bit since I did an actual daily style post. The last one was over a month ago. Oops! Anyways, here we are with a new outfit post and I'm really feeling it. Lately I've been totally rocking comfy clothes-- I'm talking basically just jeans and a shirt-- and it has been really nice. Sometimes you just don't want to think too much about what you are going to wear.

Let me just talk about my lavender color and this flower crown for a second because I am in love. This might be my favorite color combo ever, it totally reminds me of spring. It's so silly but when I was sick recently and just feeling super crummy it totally helped. Seriously, if you are having a bad day give it a try: just plop a flower crown on your head, then try not feeling better and fancy.

You might have noticed that my arms are bent in every picture, but it's not because I think this is a great pose. As it turns out I literally couldn't straighten them out that day, haha. I had worked them a little too hard at the gym and now I have what I like to refer as Barbie arms. It's kind of the saddest/funniest thing that has happened to me lately. I guess it's a good thing I work from a desk and don't really have to ever straighten my arms fully, haha.

Hope you all are having a lovely Wednesday.

Goals For A New Year

2015 Goals - littleladylittlecity.com
Last year I definitely felt like I hit a bit of a blogging slump, especially after an accident with our first Scamp. I had all of these really great ideas and a little schedule all planned out, but after the accident everything just kind of went to the wayside. It's weird how the car accident that really didn't have anything to do with my blog could just take the wind out of my sails completely. However, I'm feeling more confident again and ready to try to get back on the track I had laid out for myself last year. So, I thought I would share some of my goals for both this blog and life in general.

Blog - Find another series I enjoy doing as much as Friday Fancies, which I love coming up with every week. Try my best to keep up with a regular schedule and not to beat myself up if I'm not able to do that each week.

Have A Weekend - Being freelancers, work tends to come whenever it feels like it, haha. This usually means weekdays and weekends are filled with sitting in front of the computer working. We can go months at a time without having a weekend. Granted, we might have a couple hours here and there but very rarely a full day off. I'd love to at least make it so we have one full day off a week, easier said than done, but at least I'm going to try to make it happen.

AZ House - We are slowly getting the construction stuff done with the house and I can hardly wait. The construction stuff is not my favorite thing, haha. I want to start spending a couple hours a week just trying to figure out how we are going to make this house our home, from paint colors to furniture. I'm really excited and a little overwhelmed, I've never really had to decorate more than a room really.

Date Nights - Will and I work from home together, so we are never actually apart, which is pretty awesome, but because of this we don't ever really think about going out on a little date. This year I would really like to try to change this and do at least one or two dates a month. Just to get to hangout with each other without work and computers between us.

There you have it, some of my goals. I figure I'll start off with the small and actually doable (or at least hopefully doable, haha). Did you guys make a list of goals for the New Year? If so share the link in the comments I'd love to check them out.
