Today I thought I would share some of the amazing free printable I've come across (during my hours and hours online during the day, hehe.) I have a feeling one if not all of these are definitely going to make an appearance on our little gallery wall. I mean, they are all so cute how could I not add them to my wall, especially that flamingo one?! It is absolute perfection!

Slowly but surely we are making progress on getting everything all organized and put in their correct places. I have always loved and have been jealous of anyone with a gallery wall of their very own. I've just never had a place where one would work, from apartments to living with parents and places not being done enough. So, I am FINALLY getting to put up the collection of photos and illustrations I have collected over the years and I am so excited! We still have a long way to go before it's done (I actually ran out of frames before we had all of our images up, whoops, haha).

Do you guys have a gallery wall in your place? If so share a picture or a link to a picture in the comments below, I would love to check it out!

Arizona House!

Arizona House - littleladylittlecity.com

Long time no see, or rather write, I guess hehe. So, I took a little break from blogging not really because I wanted to, but because for the past week I was too exhausted to write anything as we finally finished up our little Arizona home enough to move in!! Ahhhh!! I'm over the moon excited!!

We bought this little place last year and have been slowly fixing her up while in Arizona. And, oh boy, did she need some work. Our place was built in the 60's and nothing had been updated since. The floor plan was designed, I assume, to be super awesome for the time period (hello pocket doors haha). Needless to say, it has been a lot of hard work getting it to where it is today. Super long days during demo, and then equally long days rebuilding.

Our house is still totally a disaster zone but instead of dust and wreckage, it's now littered with furniture, computers, clothes, and pictures all waiting to be placed in their new spot Unfortunately, I think it's going to be a little bit before we can get everything all organized and put away. We took about a week off of work to get the house finished enough and ready for us to move in, so now work is banging down our doors. Of course, that isn't a bad thing at all, but I just wish we could have another couple of days off to finish everything, I hate being in a weird flux.

Wigs and Sylvester have been adjusting wonderfully to the new house. Wigs is an old pro at this point when it comes to adapting quickly to new surroundings while Sylvester definitely takes a little bit longer to feel comfortable. Thankfully, putting out all of his favorite toys and his window hammock has made him feel more and more comfortable at the new house.

Hopefully by next week I will be able to get back into a normal blogging routine.

Investigatos - Will Hyler - littleladylittlecity.com
Will is constantly surprising me with amazing illustrations! I'm so lucky that he is as talented as he is, and loves to come up with these wonderful and sometimes silly drawings. I love each of them so much. I've got a feeling once our place is done our walls are going to be littered with these illustrations. I guess that might be a little weird, but I don't care, they are seriously the best!

He also has this phenomenal series following the adventures of Wigs and Sylvester called Investigatos that just tickles me pink. I love it so much! I'm really hoping one day he will put them into book form so I can have a hard copy of all of them.

The comic explaining where Sylvester came from is one of my favorites for sure. He is such a little weirdo, I hardly think he is actually a cat haha, and when he talks his voice sound way more like quacks than meows for sure. It's the weirdest thing.

If you want to follow all of Will's incredible illustration adventures you can follow him on Instagram and Tumblr.

Put A Gold Crown On It

Gold Crown - littleladylittlecity.com
This is what I wore last week for my birthday, and yes I totally made myself a gold pipe cleaner crown to wear. As a kid birthdays were always a big deal in our family, but as my mom got sick birthdays kind of went by the wayside. A lot of my friends in high school didn't really care, and in college I met some wonderful ladies who helped make birthdays special again. But, it wasn't until my birthday last year that I really decided to make my birthdays the best they can be by doing silly things and hanging out with people that I really love and love me in return. Happily, this year was no different.

In the morning my family and I went to the Nana's Salsa Challenge at a near by park and it was awesome! There were at least 50 different kinds of salsa to taste and they provided you will all you can eat chips! Talk about heaven on my taste buds. After we had our fill of salsas we went back to the house to get ready for game night with friends. I, of course, bought waaaay too much food, but it looked really nice all set up when everyone arrived haha. I bought the game Mad Gab to play and it was wonderful. Seriously, if you guys are ever looking for a fun party game to play, get this one! You are given a card with a whole bunch of random words, and when said aloud they begin to sound like a different common phrase. Mix in some wonderful adult beverages and you are in for a laugh riot. I think I started to cry I was laughing so hard a couple of times.

I'm finally starting to feel better from that stomach bug I caught early last week. Ughs, I don't get sick often, but when I do I turn into a tiny weepy baby. I still haven't been able to eat more than a meal or so a day, but at least I've been able to keep it down. Here's to my stomach feeling even better.

And, in keeping with tradition of silly birthday gifs featuring cats who do not like to sit still for one second, I present this years Birthday Gif! Not going to lie, trying to hold for those guys is not as easy as it use to be haha!

Your Body is a Temple - Decorate It - Guest Post

Cat Fashion Photos 1
Hello, friends! I'm Cat from Oddly Lovely, and despite the fact that I'm here sharing eight outfits, I'm not actually a fashion blogger. I'm too broke to afford anything other than the occasional Kate Spade clutch, 2/3 days I wear jeans and a tee, and my style seems unable to decide if it's whimsical hipster, literary prep, or sophisticated punk rock. But I do believe in the power of a thoughtful outfit to uplift your mood and make you feel unstoppable (which we all need sometimes).

Mostly, I'm a lifestyle blogger, a term invented to say "I talk about such a ridiculously wide variety of topics they cannot possibly be contained any by word other than 'life.'" So what does this mean in practice? Oddly Lovely is an honest space that isn't afraid of real topics like birth control or breakups, but also isn't so snobby it won't touch on a good recipe or a list of Netflix recommendations or, of course, an outfit.

I believe smart girls can watch too much TV, spend too much on clothes, and throughly enjoy a fancy cocktail (or two). We have this idea as a society that being into fashion makes you superficial, but if your body is a temple, then why not decorate it? It's the biggest canvas you have! If we have no choice than to be objectified as women, then we might as well use our appearance to declare who we are and wear it as a badge of honor.

As I said recently when discussing how to live a more magical life:

Wear jewelry that reminds you of a special moment or a special person or just makes you feel special. Dye your hair purple or chop it off. Use fancy lotion. Exercise often, but don’t ever feel anything except proud of your breasts or your stomach or your arms. Dress the way that you want to feel. Never let someone else dictate the way you look. Try a top you’d swear you’d never wear. Try a cat eye. Try a bold red lip. Wear heels that make you feel like a sex goddess. Wear bangles that make music when you walk.

Pink Mermaid Hair

Pink Mermaid Hair - littleladylittlecity.com
I've been rocking my new pink mermaid hair for a little over a week now and I am totally smitten! I'm kind of amazed it took me this long to get pictures of the new color, I blame work and being in my PJs the whole time too. While I still really enjoyed my purple hair I was feeling like it was time for a little change, I mean purple hair and I were together a whole five months, haha. And with my birthday this weekend I wanted a special change.

My hair is weird when it comes to dye. As you can see, certain sections of my hair just takes the color better. That's always been a problem, much to my (many) hair colorists dismay. When I was in high school I started dying my hair a dark brown and I would just have sections that would come out the perfect color and others super light. For a while I thought maybe it was just the store bought dye's fault, but I've been stuck at a several hairdressers for close to 8 hours at a time trying to get my hair to take a dye. So, once I figured out it was just my hair being weird I learned to accept my hair's many quirks. And, truth be told, I really dig how it looks. It makes every dying process an adventure because I never know what to expect.

I wore this outfit on our little date to go see Philip Glass play over the weekend, and I think I was one of the most colorful people at the show. I really love this dress and it's little Peter Pan collar, but my goodness this dress is short, I'm a super short person too, so you know if it's short on me it would be basically be a shirt on a average height person haha. That's why I rock it with some little booty shorts underneath just in case haha.

Sylvester decided that he wanted to be in some photos too. I totally did not force him, haha. Actually, he just bolted out the door (like he usually does) as we were coming back inside, so I just scooped him up and grabbed some photos. One of these days I'm going to dress up both Wigs and Sylvester and take photos for their own little daily style post because A) that would be hilarious B) I'm super weird like that and C) They would look pretty darn adorable, haha!

Hope you all are having a wonderful Wednesday!

We've all been there: you are just have a bad day and all you want to do is snuggle up with a pet and some tea. Unfortunately, most of us can't do that during a weekday because work's gotta get done. Today I have complied a list of fun and adorable links that you can click through when you take a little break from work (or just when the boss man isn't looking, hehe) to hopefully brighten up your day if only just a little bit.

Amara Organics Vitamin C Serum Review

Amara Organics Vitamin C Serum Review - littleladylittlecity.com
Recently I've been trying to find the perfect skin regiment for my face, and while I've read about the benefits of including a vitamin c serum, I just hadn't bitten the bullet yet. That's why I was so excited when the people over at Amara Organics where kind enough to send me over a bottle of their Vitamin C Serum to review.

I've been using this serum for a little under two weeks at this point, along with my usual face routine which includes face wash, moisturizer, and sun screen. I've been very happy to find the results so far are great. My skin feels smoother and it seems to be a little brighter too. One thing that I haven't noticed much of yet is a change in some of my dark spots (darn kid me playing in the without re-lathering up on sunscreen). It has barely been two weeks, so I'm hoping that I will start to notice them fading the longer I use it as part of my daily routine.

While I was gifted the Vitamin C Serum to review, all opinions are my own.
