Getting To Know You (Err Me)

1. I'm still not completely over the fact that I finished Gilmore Girls and that I have no more new episodes. As silly as it sounds I really feel like I said goodbye to a whole bunch of really great friends. Ahh, I need something to help fill the void! Any suggestions?

2. Last year I learned about the wonders of the waffle brownie and have never looked back! This way you get pretty much all the yummy brownie edges in a fraction of the time. Plus, it's a brownie in the shape of a waffle, so honestly it can't get much better than that.

3. I'm so in love with the bright colored lip look, especially the pinks and oranges. I just feel like I can't pull them off, sadly. That doesn't stop me from buying them and trying them out at home (when I'm not going out) only to come to same conclusion every time: no.

4. I'm the worst at remembering to recharge the camera battery. Half the time, when I'm ready to go take some outfit photos, the battery is totally dead. You would think after the first couple of times I would be better at remembering, haha.

5. Several hours everyday Wigs and Sylvester get to enjoy the great outdoors in the safety of my dad's atrium, hehe. After the first couple of times of them going out I thought they would have explored every inch and become super board with it, but they haven't yet. It's funny almost every morning around 10:30 they are at the door wanting to go out, haha.

6. I recently saw an episode of Vanderpump Rules and I am now kind of obsessed! Thank goodness for Bravo on Demand which allowed me to catch up on this season. Gah so addicting!

Feel free to share a random fact or two about yourself in the comments. I love learning more about you all!

Getting To Know You (Err Me) is a little series that I do from time to time on my blog as a way to share some random and usually silly things about myself you might otherwise never know.

  1. I think you could definitely get into the bright lipstick game! I am fair-skinned like you and it definitely takes some trial and error. I found the tarte LipSurgence line to be a really good starting place - the glossier ones are sheerer so not to intense, but still give a lot of color!

  2. I finished Gilmore Girls a few weeks ago and went through the exact same thing. Friends was a nice replacement but still searching for something good! People recommended The Office to me but I haven't watched it yet.

  4. Oh lord, I've been taking it so slow on Glimore Girls because I know I'll feel the same way haha. And yessss to the Vanderpump Rules! Come to the dark side. ;) I'm obsessed with basically every show on Bravo at all times.

  5. I have never heard of a waffle brownie before but wow does it sound amazing.
Go for the bright coloured lipstick, I always thought I couldn't pull it off because I'd never worn something so bright or bold before but now I pretty much only wear bright lipstick.

  6. I've heard that Parenthood is a good show for fans of Gilmore Girls, if a little more "adult" than GG.

  7. Aww thanks! Definitely going to check out the tarte LipSurgence line. I'm on a mission to a bright lip color that works for me!

  8. I watched Friends when it was originally on but it would be really fun to re-watch it. I loved The Office, I felt like they were trying to figure stuff out still Season 1 and part of 2 but then it got really great!

  9. Waffle brownies? Good grief, I need those in my life! I am intrigued by the bright lip colors too! I used to wear red lipstick every day when I was younger, but then I stopped and have had pale lips for so long I feel weird whenever I have a bit of color on them.

  10. Oh my goodness Dawson's Creek, I haven't seen an episode of that in years! I might just have to give it a go.

  11. Yes take it slow! I started out that way and then just totally binged haha. It was just so good. Oh man I am totally on the dark side now, seriously so obsessed with Vanderpump Rules! Now I just need to find some place that I can watch the first 2 seasons!!

  12. Oh man the waffle brownie is so easy to make and so good! I'm definitely going to keep trying with the bright lipstick, I'm determined to find my right color!

  13. I watched Parenthood and it was really great, just not enough Lorelai and Rory, hehe.

  14. I am here to spread the word of the waffle brownie because it is so yummy and quick. When I want a brownie I really don't want to wait the normal 45 mins, haha!

And I totally think that's one of my problems with bright lipstick I've just never really worn lipstick before so any color just looks weird to me. But I really want to find a color that works for me.

  15. Parenthood is amazing - and also has Lauren Graham in it. But it's not on Netflix. Still definitely worth a watch though if you can manage to find it!

Also ... waffle brownie. I must admit I have never heard of this before but am going to look it up now. Chances are very high you've just changed my life forever.

  16. Oh, true. They're a pretty spectacular pair, and one (unfortunately) that I don't think has ever or will be replicated.

  17. I recently finished Gilmore Girls too! I really liked Dean so I started watching Supernatural since they're all on Netflix. It feels so weird not to have any more episodes after spending soo many hours watching that show.

  18. I am so in love with Gilmore Girls that I couldn't finish the last season, I wasn't prepared to part with all them for good, so I left a few episodes unseen to live thinking I still can hang with the Gilmore gang again some other time :) I know it may sound a little (a whole!) crazy...and I could totally simply rewatch it (which I have also done until season 7...several times, ha!)
