Rubber Ducky You're The One

Since getting back from Portland I have been having the hardest time trying to get back to a normal sleep schedule, even though it's only a three hour difference. When we flew back last Wednesday we didn't get back to Will's parent's house until 3AM so that seriously didn't help any. I've been using an alarm to wake me up at a reasonable hour, which most certainly hasn't been fun at all, but I think it's been helping. The mountain has been so beautiful, the air has been nice and crisp requiring some delightfully warm and fuzzy socks covering my toes. It feels nice knowing we are going to be here at least for the next couple of weeks. This year it seems like every other week we are headed somewhere, I'm not complaining I love getting to travel, but it's also nice to know you are sticking around in one place for a while.

This sweatshirt is one of my absolute favorites, and I'm pretty darn happy it has been cool enough to start rocking it again. The ducks totally remind me of Wade the duck from Garfield and Friends. He was always one of my favorite characters on that show so it's really no wonder I was so drawn to this sweatshirt when I found it in a thrift store while I was living in LA. It was so windy trying to take these pictures it just made my hair look more of a hot mess than it already was, haha. My roots are getting a little crazy so I think it is time for another bleaching, but sometimes you've just gotta work with what you've got.

I'm sorry I'm just going crazy blogger cat lady on you guys for a second, but can we just take a moment to and talk about how freaking adorable Sylvester and Wigs are? I love these guys so much and am happy to be back with them. I think Sylvester really missed us because we have been getting even more snuggles than normal from him, which I am most certainly not complaining about at all, hehe.  Ok enough cat talk, how was you weekend? Did you guys do anything fun?

InvestiGatos

InvestiGatos By Will Hyler - Little Lady Little City
I absolutely love sharing the amazing things Will creates because 1) he is incredibly talented and 2) his illustrations make my heart sing! He comes up with and creates such amazing illustrations! The Cat Walks one featured above is seriously my new all time favorite because it's true, I think he drew me looking wonderfully sassy, and as much as our cats do enjoy going on walks there are days were they are not having it one bit, haha.

Recently he decided to create a little comic entitled InvestiGatos, staring none other than our two cats Wigs and Sylvester, which again I am all about. So of course I had to share a couple of his comics because I'm just so proud and they are absolutely wonderful!

Getting To Know You Err Me

Getting To Know You (Errr Me)
I thought it would be fun to continue this little series I've had going for a while. I always have a blast thinking us new things to share with you guys, the best ones are those that make me just kind of shake my head and go 'Am I really that silly?' haha. So let's jump on into this.

1. Now that it's starting to all grey/stormy and chilly outside every night I want to curl up on the couch with a cup of tea or hot coco and watch a scary movie. I'm such a sucker for a good scary movie! What are some of your favorite scary movies to watch?

2. I've talked about this before but I seriously LOVE cereal! If something happened to the world's food supply and all that was left was cereal I would be pretty ok with that. I love getting to create my own combination of cereals, Captain Crunch and Cinnamon Toast Crunch are my current favorite combo.

3. I love glitter nail polish! I know some people think it's over or whatever but I say never! I will rock it until the day I die, haha.

4. There are some days when I just don't feel like putting on 'real' clothes so instead I put on what I like to call working PJs, haha. Sometimes I really just want to be ridiculously comfy when I have to put in long hours in front of my computer screen. I have a feeling you will never see an outfit post sharing them (or maybe you will haha).

5. Cottage cheese is my jam. I know some people are totally grossed out by it but I totally love it as a snack. I will mix it up with some salsa or a little bit of jam depending on what kind of mood I'm in.

6. I am super excited for our apple trees to be ready for picking! APPLES IN ALL THE THINGS! Thankfully this time of the year is when we have the most visitors so I can make tons of baked goods without having to eat them all myself. Apple Cider Waffles, Apple Pie, Apple Cinnamon Wheat Pancakes and Apple Pie Moonshine.

7. Since Sylvester has gotten older he doesn't want as many snuggles as he used too. Lately though he has been snuggling up in the middle of the night. I absolutely love and hate it at the same time, haha. Love it because I love kitty snuggles hate it because I am usually woken up a couple times a night. It's such a catch 22, but I have a feeling I won't be stopping him from snuggles anytime soon haha.

I would love to know some random facts about you too, so leave them in the comments below!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Lovely Day To Be Outside

Walking the cats - Little Lady Little City
Well it is definitely feeling like fall up here on the mountain. There is a nice crisp feeling to the air, and we have been taking advantage of that. The windows are open all day and it's been heaven. Yesterday it was so beautiful outside we decided to harness up the cats and take them on a little walk around the mountain. Haha yup we are those kind of weirdos that take their cats for walks. There was lots of pouncing at bugs and climbing in trees. I think tree climbing is one of their favorite things to do, though they do seem to get stuck and Will has to jump in the tree and help them down, haha.

By the time our outside adventures were over Wigs and Sylvester we exhausted and both curled up in their respective sleeping spots and we didn't hear or see them for the rest of the day. When we did see them, however, they both decided it was time to go outside once again, haha.

Sending Summer Off With A Bang

It's always funny to me when people talk about Labor Day being the end of summer seeing how in Arizona we don't really have much of a fall, that and Arizona started back to school the beginning of August. Our seasons are: Summer, "Winter" repeat. Fall is pretty much just skipped over all together no matter how hard the stores try to sell those fall colored wreathes and pumpkin lattes. So the idea of the last day of summer on Labor Day has always made me think people have no idea what they are talking about. Summer continues at least through October! Haha. But now being on the mountain I understand it. While the days are still warm the nights are quite noticeably chilly and the idea of hot drinks and a bonfire are perfection.
We put the last weekend of summer to good use with our friend Shaye. There were trips down to the river, hikes in the mountain, light graffiti, and bonfire fun. Oh, and their was entirely way too much homemade pizza, waffles, and smores. I'm not complaining, nut my waistline might be haha.
Light graffiti is seriously one of my favorite things to do, it's just so fun and silly! I mean, how often do you get to make it look like a dinosaur is eating you, be a sea captain, or even get a kiss from a giant bunny?! If you guys are ever looking for something fun to do some night you should give it a try!

What did you do over the weekend? Did you have any big send off for summer?
