Little Thoughts

I've been feeling a little stale when it comes to outfit posts lately. It doesn't really surprise me as it always seems to happen when we come out to Phoenix.  The majority of my wardrobe has to stay back on the mountain because of space when traveling. So of course I make to sure I bring all my current favorites which I end up wearing so much that unfortunately I grow tired of them. It probably doesn't help that I work from home so a lot of the time I'm just rocking some super comfy pjs (I mean since we are being totally honest). There are days where I totally just think 'Ugh I'm not going out anywhere there is no reason for me to wear something that could never be as comfy as these sweet pjs' haha!

I'm trying to figure out what I can do to make the clothes I have not feel quite so meh when I wear them, and trying to convince myself that as much as I love me some comfy pjs I should put on actual clothes during the day, hehe. Do you guys have any tips on how to make your limited wardrobe feel less stale? Any and all help would be much appreciated!

  1. different accessories always help, and try new things, even when you feel like you can mix certaing patterns you wouldn't know if you don't try it, right?

  2. Great ideas! I've been trying to do a little pattern mixing so I will keep on trying that. Thanks!

  3. Accessorizing, definitely! And remix the heck out of what you have!

  4. display all the clothes you're having problems with and try combine them with different ones, for exemple: imagine you always use a printed dress with a coat, next time try using a sweater on top of the dress - it will look completly different :)

  5. Lay everything out and try combining in new ways--maybe with new accessories or things you wouldn't have thought to pair together!

  7. Such a great idea! I never thought about laying them all out to see what goes with what!

  10. I've been bored with my skirt and shirt options so I just started layering skirts over dresses! It doesn't work for all of them because of the lengths, but sometimes I get some really cool depth!

  11. I also go with laying things out and trying new combos! Sometimes you just have to work with what you got! :)

  12. I hear that! I started mixing things together that I normally wouldn't, different patterns, etc. Also I found that just getting a new statement necklace or accessory can really breathe new life into outfits. PJs are pretty sweet, though:)

  13. I go in waves where I feel really excited about my wardrobe and times I'm not inspired at all. Usually the latter is in the summer here because I get sick of not being able to layer or wear tights/pants/boots. I recommend trying to remix combos you haven't thought of before, or heading to the thrift store to throw a couple of new things into the mix. It's amazing how 1 or 2 new things will make me excited about my clothes again :)

  14. Oh no! Sounds like you're due for a trip to the thrift store! Some new accessories and some remixing of your current pieces might just do the trick! Good luck!
