Things that went wrong:
- Our spray paint bottle went all kinds of crazy and just dumped the paint rather than sprayed.
- The glue wasn't actually sticking to the lid.
- The little fake pine trees we bought started to turn the water blue.
- GLITTER EVERYWHERE.

So our snow globes ended up being waterless, which might make what we ended up with something else. But with all the mishaps I kind of like what we ended up with. Even if the glitter stays stuck on the side of the jar haha!
Have you ever tried to make something that just went all kinds of wrong or didn't turn out the way you expected?

Pretty much every day of my life turns into something I didn't expect haha
ReplyDeleteHaha! I'm right there with you lady!
ReplyDeleteYes! I have tried so many things that look easy online, but turned out terribly! It's so frustrating. Your jar looks cute, though:) I tried making snow globes a few years ago, and they turned out awful. Then I just went and bought one at Target:)
ReplyDeletebless you, at least you get to do something creative and lovely! yes, i have tried to draw something on my notebooks using tipp-ex and it went awfully messy.
ReplyDeleteit is awesome that you still share your diy anyway

I kinda had the same problems until I also decided to make them waterless. Love the little Reindeer!
ReplyDeleteI once glittered my flats thinking it would work out perfectly. They looked great until I wore them and they cracked and the glitter fell off in big chunks. Should have seen that one coming....modge-podge isn't exactly flexible when dry, haha.
ReplyDeleteOh no! At least you tried. I love that you posted the pictures. <3

Oh no!!! It's always such a bummer when a DIY goes awry. I haven't had any major missteps lately, but I've definitely had them before! I tried to make some painted coasters a while ago with hexagons on them. The hexagons just ended up being ugly blobs. Sigh.

I wasn't even aware of a snow globe DIY! That does seem pretty difficult.
