Today Will and I are celebrating our first wedding anniversary, I can hardly believe that a year has already gone by. It seems like both only yesterday and lifetime ago that we got married. Time can be so strange like that.
Looking back, I sometimes cannot believe I made it through the week leading up to the wedding without having a nervous break down, haha. There were so many things going wrong; the house was no where near done, Will got insanely sick, the cat had fleas, a major project got delayed so we were still working up to the wedding, we still had twelve picnic tables to build the day before the wedding, and a cold front had just moved in. Even with the cards stacked against us everything worked out better than I could have imagined. I had my beyond amazing bride ladies and friends there to help with every step and keep me from breaking down. Will got better, we got rid of the fleas, the tables were built with lightening speed, the project got pushed back until after the wedding, the cold front lifted, and no one cared that the house wasn't done. Everyone was just impressed with us. I like to think my mom was looking down on us and helped make everything better.
I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite photos from the big day.

The wedding itself was so much fun. There were so many amazing friends, lots of laughs, and a ridiculous amount of dancing. I am so grateful to all the people who came out and lent a hand to our super DIY wedding. We couldn't have done it without you all and we most certainly wouldn't have wanted to.

I wish I was more crafty and clever and courageous when I got married years ago. Your wedding was so simple and laid back and country- mine, was none of those things. But we do have some wedding day themes in common which would be love and pure joy. Congratulations on your anniversary.

Congratulations! I love all the beautiful wild flowers in your wedding. Your bridesmaids all look amazing with them. It seems like it was a good time for weddings because several blogs I follow are celebrating wedding anniversaries today. I love seeing all the very different weddings, from just 2 on a beach to big rock and roll theme. They're all lovely. :D
