Getting to Know You (Errr Me)

(Photo c/o the amazingly talented Megan Robbins)

Every so once in awhile I enjoy doing a little getting to know me piece on the blog. I always love learning something new about the bloggers I read so hopefully you guys feel the same way.

1. I could watch the show Psych on repeat forever, it is my go to thing to watch on Netflix while working. I think I have rewatched the series about four times now much to Will's chagrin, haha. There is just something so wonderful about the show and the wonderful friendship Shawn and Gus (the two main characters) have with one another. I like to believe they are best friends in real life too, because otherwise it would just be sad. I also love their homage episodes like Dual Spirals, which actually featured quite a bit of the cast from Twin Peaks.

2. I am kind of obsessed with peanut butter, banana, Nutella sandwiches right now. We were at Costco the other day and they had some Nutella so I decided to 'treat yo self', and now it has pretty much been those sandwiches at least every other day, haha!

3. When it comes to our Wigs I seriously have about a 100 different names I actually call her. Wigstro, Wigstrodamous, Little, Littlest of littles, Pumpkin Butt, I could go on but I think I have embarrassed myself enough already haha.

4. When I meet new people that I really like, and think I we could be really great friends, I start to imagine fun things that we could do together when we hang out. Thankfully, this usually stays in my head unless I've been drinking. Otherwise I start suggesting all of the fun things we could do together because I am sure we are going to be friends.

5. So this is pretty ridiculous, but we're all friends here, right? Hehe. I tend to sing talk a lot to Will. Instead of just asking what we should do for dinner I will sing it in a very tone deaf kind of way. I'm not sure where that one came from. Luckily I don't think Will minds it too much.

Well there you have it, you now know me a little better. If you want to play along and share some things about yourself leave a link in the comments I would love to check them out!

  1. hahahaha, I sing to my dog, constantly. Her name is Gracie and I pretty much sing her name as all of the lyrics to any song I can think of. Also love that you have disqus, I just installed it on my blog as well.

  2. I LOVE PB& Banana Nutella sandwiches :) It becomes such an addiction, like I'm pretty sure there's something in the Nutella because it's impossible to eat just one.

I'm addicted to brunch, have a scar from a hardcover book, and get stuck sitting in random places in my house due to my cat just randomly deciding to sit on my lap and causing me to be unproductive.

  3. Haha, my husband and I make up songs all the time around the house like that. Well... I guess they're not really songs. More like talking songs? I'm sure you know what I mean!

  4. There is lots of singing to the cats as well haha! I'm really happy with disqus, so much better than bloggers default comment program.

  8. Haha I love this! How good is Psych!!?? And Parks and Recreation..."Treat.Yo.Self"! Haha!
Sing talking is the best! Whole conversations can be, and should be, done this way. :)

  9. I love when bloggers post random facts about themselves :) And I am definitely guilty of "talk-singing" with my boyfriend as well, haha!

  10. I sing to my fiance all the time:) And, it doesn't sound good! Also, I ate SO MANY peanut butter, banana, and nutella sandwiches when I studied abroad that it makes me feel sick thinking about eating them.

  11. My cats have 8 billion nicknames, too! I also sing about things alllllll the time. I kind of forget until I make a new friend and they're like, "I'm sorry, are you singing a song about doing dishes?"

    Thanks for sharing!

  13. I'm obsessed with psych! I've watched it since the first day it aired :) isn't it amazing?! I love you even more now.. So lets be friends and do fun things together. Haha that's so something I would say when I was drunk. I actually met my husband at a party while drunk and told him we were best friends. It obviously worked. We've been married for four years. Hahahahaha. You should check out monk since you love psych. Such a good show too!

  15. I sing sentences in an awful way all the time too! And it's even more embarrasing because my husband actually is a musician but I think he finds it endearing.

  16. So, my husband is obsessed with Psych as well. I'm not sure how many times he (we) have watched the seasons over and over (they need to add more seasons asap) Last I read "Shawn and Jules" were actually a real life couple - so maybe him and "gus" are real friends too! I love that show - I'd like to live in their world and be friends with them all.

Now for the singing.. I think I've told you this before but Kevin is constantly singing and making up songs. We make up all these "adventures" and songs about our animals. They all have had different jobs and personalities - including one of our cats - we decided he would wear dirty wife beaters, drink cheap beer and live in a trailer - their mode of transportation is this childs toy firetruck (you know the ones that kids can sit on and push around??) anyway- we have stories- EVERY day.... we have some issues..

  18. Hahaha I sing talk a lot too. I usually make up songs about whatever I'm doing, or I change the lyrics of songs to be about my dog. Bo/Boface in pretty much works in any song! Sadly I'm not actually musically gifted at all, and the other day my fiance commented that I "sound like an angel who stepped on a lego". It's a compliment, right?
