Wild Horses

Spring is in the air, the grass is growing, things are blooming, and my allergies have started to flare up. I always seem to forget that when I'm dying for spring to get here allergies are soon to follow. Growing up in the southwest I never thought I was allergic to a single thing, but once I moved back east I felt like I was going to die from head congestion. So that first spring I lived in a crazy allergy drug haze. It was not fun. Thankfully ever since my allergies have gotten less severe and I only seem to notice them as things come back to life.
I got this shirt a couple of weeks ago because I really love the horse print, and have always wanted to have some article of clothing with an animal print. When I ordered it I didn't realize how kind of flowy it was, and I am still a little unsure about it. These kind of shirts aren't always the most flattering on me because, well, I have some large boobies haha! They seem to hang off my body a little ways making me seem larger than I really am. I'm still kind of up in the air about it, but I seriously love the color and the horses, so I think it will be making the rotation in my wardrobe quite often.
My poor new oxfords have a hole in them, ughs I am seriously so bummed! won't stop me from still wearing them though!

Work has been keeping us pretty busy this week, lots of illustration work, some of which involved me making a sexy Jessica Rabbit character, haha! Sometimes I end up making the oddest things for clients, but hey it keeps me entertained :)

Hope everyone is having a nice day!

  1. Oh my god, do I EVER feel you about the allergies thing. I've even been trying to use my neti pot, and I still feel just awful :(. Here's hoping that relief is on the way!

The horse top is such a lovely colour on you! I get what you mean about the flowy shirts hanging off you, as a well endowed lady, too. I bet you it would look so sweet tucked into a high waisted denim (or otherwise, really) skirt, which would cut down on the boxiness!

  6. NOTHING is blooming here yet. Nothing is even attempting to come back to life. We had some snow/hail yesterday. Boo! Bring on spring. I long for allergies. ;)

I love the first photo. The yellow is so vibrant and gorgeous as your backdrop. And I also love the third to last photo of you on the stump. You look absolutely darling. xo

  7. What a curse and a blessing having the big girls is. (I feel your pain.) I love this look though! I always feel shapeless in flowy shirts like that too, but I can never pass up a fabulous print like that one!

  8. We moved from Phoenix to Virginia last spring and my husbands allergies have gone through the roof. He's so miserable so I can sorta relate to your allergy plight. I adore your horse top and have been eyeing that sweater at Target for quite a while. I think I may just have to make a trip to get one.

  9. I have terrible allergies too and they are definitely not going anywhere. I really like the sweater you are wearing and how you combined with the new top.

  10. Cute shirt! Yeah, allergies suck big time, but mine have gotten much better with time too. At least it is warm enough outside now to not wear a jacket!
