Little Lady Little Kitchen Ep 1

As most of you guys know I enjoy baking/sharing recipes with you all, so after chatting with Will we came up with the idea of combining our video making talents with my love of baking. Thus, Little Lady Little Kitchen was created! I am ridiculously excited, it was tons of fun to put together! I really hope you guys enjoy it!

I'm hoping to make this a bimonthly series (I would love to do it every week but that might be pushing it a little hehe). I already have an idea for Episode 2 and I must say it is a really good one. Eee! I seriously can't wait to do another one of these!

Recipe under the cut.
Ingredients:
Polka Dots
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • food coloring
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cream together butter, sugar, milk and vanilla together. Once mixed well add the egg. Mix dry ingredients together then begin to slowly incorporate into wet mixture. Once mixed, separate batter into small bowls and add food coloring. Bake in a cupcake pan or cake pop pan (which would probably work the best) for about 13 minutes. You don't want them to be fully cooked because you will be putting it back in the oven inside the cake.

Banana Cake
  • 5 1/3 cups flour (sifted)
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/3 cups milk
  • 2 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 bottle (4oz) banana extract
  • 8 eggs
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together butter, sugar, banana extract, and milk together. Mix dry ingredients and add to wet mixture. Add the eggs one at a time letting them mix into the batter. Pour part of the batter into two 9" pans. Place your Polka Dots into the pans and cover with the rest of the batter. Bake for 30-45 minutes. All ovens are different so keep an eye on the cakes after about 30 minutes.

Peanut Butter Frosting
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 Tbsp milk (or as needed)
Mix butter and a Tbsp of milk together. Add peanut butter with another Tbsp of milk. Then add in confectioners sugar with a Tbsp of milk. Mix until creamy.
I think the cake came out pretty darn tasty  I think the only thing I would do different is make a couple more polka dots for the cake. Let me know if you guys decide to give it a try!

  17. And as we all know, too much stress can be harmful to health.

For example, we often do some driving trains to encourage the
students to speak a few numbers in turn.
Use old fabric to create puppets, monsters, and any other creatures that your child can imagine.
