Fitness Sundays

This week was a good week with the Revolt challenge. I only missed one workout and that is because I was pretty tired/sore after moving a cord of wood into the basement for the wood stove. But yesterday I made sure to do both work outs, so as you can imagine I am pretty darn tired today, hehe. 

I haven't lost much weight yet, but I definitely finding myself having a lot more energy which has been really nice. Once it starts warming up I'm looking forward to walking around the mountain with Will and Wigs, in addition to the daily work outs. I'm also looking forward to the different fitness level videos Nicole mentioned they were going to start doing. I think they are going to be a great way to make sure that I keep challenging myself. 

What are some of the ways you guys like to stay active?

  1. Oh man, I went to my second ever Zumba class this week, and though I looked totally uncoordinated, it felt SO good afterward!! I found that going to a class that keeps me obligated to working out a specific day of the week has been good motivation to make a stricter schedule for working out alone. Plus, it made me finally take the leap to cut out non-zumba cardio (I'm asthmatic, and while I love sprinting, the treadmill is my enemy) and focus on weight lifting. I'm already feeling stronger, fitter, and all around better. It's awesome!!
    I, too, am looking forward to scenic walks and bike rides around my town when the weather warms up. I wish spring weather would hurry up already!!

    1. I've heard really good things about Zumba and have always wanted to try, but there are no classes around my little tiny town hehe. But maybe next time I am in Phoenix I can find one. And I'm right there with you on feeling all around better, it's just a nice feeling and makes me kind of kick myself in the butt for not trying to get in better shape sooner.

      And seriously spring needs to get here ASAP! I'm getting pretty tired of the grey sky!

I do yoga/tai chi/pilates on Mondays, boxing on Tuesdays and a mix of cardio/weights on other days in the week - I love the variety and can definitely see the results in my endurance, muscle definition and inches lost. But I find it SO HARD to stay active when it's so super freezing outside, brrr!

    1. I completely agree, when it is cold outside all I want to do is curl up in a nice warm blanket with some tea :)
