Wedding Pt 2

After putting together this post I decided to break it up into one more part after this one, mainly because all of these photos are just so wonderfully special to me and I wanted to make sure they each got the space to shine! Silly maybe but that's how I feel.
I must have just told a hilarious joke, and cracked my self up, hehe.
Ok I'm going to pretty much repeat myself for the thousandth time: these ladies are amazing! Alesha was the best maid of honor anyone could ask for, and was always willing to jump back in the car and drive about down the mountain (which she had just come back up) to get something we forgot like pie cutters. Hannah was such an amazing trouper, nothing stopped her from helping me with anything, including freezing wind during the flower picking! Lex did an absolutely phenomenal job at helping to make sure the decorations/flower crowns came out perfectly, as she has an impecable eye for design (I mean heck she helped create this dress!) And Shaye she made Will's beyond gorgeous sweater as was constantly on the look out for things everyone might need, like tights. These are only a minuscule portion of what all these ladies did for me, and one day I hope to return the favor for all of them! Oh, I'm getting teary eyed just thinking about how amazing these ladies truly are, and how lucky I am to have them all in my life!
Papa Bear! I can't even write anything about these pictures without full on crying. My dad is the best, enough said!
Our caterer Mike was beyond amazing! Not only was his food delicious but he was such a great and funny guy. He definitely kept me laughing the morning of the wedding!
I am so pleased with how the center pieces came out, there were a couple hours in the morning when the wind was howling and freezing that we didn't think anything would last outside.
We had my mom's best friend Linda preform our ceremony, which you think would be pretty simple since she did my brothers wedding too, but West Virginia decided to make it pretty difficult on us. Legally she wasn't allowed to do it, so we had to find a couple of local pastors willing to just say whatever they need to say to make the whole thing official. But of course we made sure Linda got to say I pronounce you married!
A group of my mom's friends (The Ladies who Lunch) who made it out for the big day! I was so happy and honored to have them all there, it really made her presence there a lot stronger.
My brother giving his equally touching and hilarious reading.

Happy Friday!

  5. These are all so so beautiful. I love your dress, and do I understand correctly that it was handmade?! Because that's totally amazing. Good for you for taking the risks and not having a traditional wedding, and doing what suited you both as a couple. You've built a home and such a beautiful life together, and your wedding really emphasizes that. Gorgeous. Ugh I feel all emotional now, hahaha!!
