Portland Part 2

While we were in Portland they were having the annual City Fair down at the water front. We ended up not going on any rides because they were kind of crazy expensive, but we did do a lot of people watching and cotton candy eating. Cotten candy is one of those things that I never want until I step foot into a fair of some kind and then I must have some, haha. Anyone else do that or am I just a bit of a nutter?
They did have a tiger though, and that was pretty cool.
We also got to ride on a vintage trolley, which was so much fun! It was run by a couple of old timers who were pretty darn funny. However they did mention that all the vintage trollies were going to be taken out of commission soon, which was pretty sad to hear. So if anyone is in Portland in the near future make sure you get your trolley riding fill.
On our walk back to the the car we walked past this absolutely extraordinary wall cover in a giant print of books. Lex made the comment that she has always wanted to take pictures infront of it, and thus began another one of our fun little photo shoots. People walking by thought we were pretty darn silly, but we didn't care because seriously how kind of awesome is our backdrop!
Trust me there is a least one more photo shoot we all did that I will be sharing, haha! I just can't help it  when Lex and I get together there will be pictures-o-plenty! We just have way too much fun taking them, hopefully they don't get too boring for you all, hehe.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

  2. I am totally like you and cotton candy except mine is warm apple cider. Every year around Thanksgiving I go to a fair and they have warm apple cider. I never crave it during the year but man oh man do I crave it when I go to the fair.

  5. Oh my gosh I am in LOVE with that book backdrop, especially because they look like library books with the little white tag on the spine. I want to visit Portland just for that wall.

I look forward to the next photoshoot! :)

  15. Ohhh my goodness. I just love fairs. The Ferris Wheels, the cotton candy and dippin dots, the stuffed animals. I went to Navy Pier today in Chicago, and it was SO much fun. Reminds me of this. Looks like a blast! I'm your newest follower. LOVE your blog!
